An Interview With an All Peak Designer – Amanda Hamilton

An Interview With an All Peak Designer – Amanda Hamilton

Our designs are pretty sweet. We strive to keep them casual, fun and one-of-a kind. The handful of designers we use are super-talented - David Hummel (San Diego, CA), Eric Emerson (Durango, CO) and Amanda Hamilton (Grapevine, TX). For a little insight into design inspiration and the people behind the scenes, here's a short Q&A with one of our team members, Amanda.

Q: How did you get involved with All Peak?

A: Several years ago I was working full time and wanted to make the transition from full time employee to my own freelancing gig. I have a tendency to marinate on big changes in my life so I chose to work part time as a freelancer while working full time with a Marketing & Advertising Company. I also had a good friend who was working hard to make a similar transition with his company, All Peak. Now both of our dreams are a reality and the rest is history!

Q: You are very talented, where did you learn from?

A: Funny you should ask because it took me most of my 20's to land on a major in college. I was a music major, a marketing major, and finally a communications design major. I graduated from UNT [University of North Texas] in Denton and was awarded Best Portfolio In My Class. So it was worth it! I have more than 13 years experience in the creative industries and I haven't looked back!

Q: Which is your favorite All Peak design?

A: I know I should pick one of my designs, but I can't in good faith. I've always liked Quandary Peak because of the varying textures and the owl of course.

Q: What was your inspiration for the Blanca Peak design?

A: Blanca Peak is known to the Navajo people as the Sacred Mountain. I couldn't help but want to make the mountain traditional and sacred, hence the Navajo being part of the mountain.

Q: You have a new dog “Griffin” in your family. Is he a hiking dog?

A: This dog is precious to our hearts. He's a 5 year old rescued Golden Retriever who is just now learning to retrieve. Sad. We would love to hike with him, but he's neurotic and runs off when he's off the leash. HAHAHA! Well...that dream is gone & yes, he is chipped! We just stick with walks to the park.

Amanda manages overall art direction for All Peak. Her contributions include: Bierstadt, Blanca, Democrat, Grays, Massive and Torreys. Amanda's most recent design coming this summer Missouri Mountain.
